Help us reach our $150,000 Christmas goal to keep the hospital’s doors open and its light shining for families in need.

For over two years, the world has watched the devastating conflict in Gaza unfold. The images and stories have been heart-wrenching — homes destroyed, lives shattered, families grieving.

In the midst of this darkness, one light continues to shine: the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, Gaza’s only Christian hospital.

Founded in 1882 as a mission of the Anglican Church, Al-Ahli has stood for more than a century as a place of compassion and healing. Even as bombs fell around it, the hospital remained open — treating the injured, feeding the hungry, comforting the fearful, and offering care without discrimination.

Now, even with a fragile peace, the needs are greater than ever. Al-Ahli’s staff are exhausted. Supplies are running low. Whole departments have been damaged or destroyed. Yet, they continue their mission of mercy, caring for hundreds of patients every day.

'We don’t discriminate. Our mission is to show the love of Jesus' — Suhaila Tarazi, Hospital Director

A Prayer for Gaza

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for being a God of compassion, for being close to the brokenhearted and for saving those who are crushed in spirit.

As we pray for Gaza today, we pray in faith, knowing that your power and goodness overcome evil.

Please grant wisdom to those in power and protect the innocent. Bring forth justice, peace, and reconciliation.

Wipe the tears from the children’s faces, comfort the women who are mourning, and provide hope to the men who feel lost.

Give strength, comfort, and healing to all those who are hurting.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we pray.

Amen.
